HR Generalist – Pittsburgh, PA

Lunova Group is searching for a Human Resources Generalist for our client, a manufacturer and distributor of industrial and specialty gases, to support the human resources processes and assist in the administrative day-to-day functions. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of human resources as well as general administrative responsibilities.   An organized, detail-oriented work ethic is a must to succeed in this role.

HR Generalist  Responsibilities:
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met
  • Support the recruitment and hiring process by screening applicants and conducting and scheduling interviews
  • Attend recruiting fairs
  • Coordinate training programs and continuous education opportunities
  • Responsible for managing job postings/LinkedIn/social media/website
  • Lead new-hire procedures: employee onboarding, training, updating and administering employee handbook
  • Foster positive employee relations and assist in solving any employee issues that surface
  • Assist with customer service
  • Upgrade the new hire onboarding experience and shift paperwork to electronic processing
  • Liaise with other departments or functions as needed
  • Collaborating with the leadership team to drive employee engagement
  • Administer and manage company' s employee benefits
  • Executing administrative duties as assigned

HR Generalist  Requirements:
  • Bachelor’ s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline
  • 2+ years’ experience within human resource and administrative functions
  • Ability to work at a fast pace with detailed work
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Excellent collaborator and team player who leads by example
  • Ability to adhere to established guidelines and procedures
  • Strong follow up skills are necessary
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication skills with a persuasive and teaching style of communication
