Supply Chain & Lean Manufacturing Manager – Milwaukee, WI

The Supply Chain + Lean Manufacturing Manager is a key leader in the organization and will oversee and manage the company’ s overall supply chain, lean manufacturing, logistics and operations to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. They will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing supply chain processes and solutions. This person will help the company identify issues and opportunities as we develop, manufacture, store and ship products.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Direct supply chain functions through resource optimization and profitability, resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction
  • Determine the strategic direction of the company relating to supply chain activities and assist in the development and implementation of the strategic plan
  • Leader of a team overseeing inventory management, warehouse organization, cycle counting, planning, purchasing, scheduling, cost reduction efforts, and supplier metrics
  • Develop a robust continuous improvement strategy in partnership with the Executive Team
  • Identify key areas of improvement to drive continuous growth
  • Manage all activities for continuous improvement and performance enhancement
  • Monitor the performance of suppliers and assess their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
  • Lead, define and develop continuous improvement activities designed to improve performance
  • Develop policies to increase efficiency while ensuring quality and safety
  • Responsible for promoting a culture of high performance and accountability
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials needed to meet the changing levels of demand

 

Qualifications & Skills Required:
  • Bachelor’ s degree in Engineering required
  • 5+ years’ supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Extensive knowledge of managing the supply chain for manufacturing plants, a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and overall best practices
  • International logistics experience required
  • SAP knowledge required
  • A strong background in continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing & Six Sigma
  • Strong business acumen, ability to solve complex issues, and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
  • A high level of emotional intelligence with the ability to manage effective relationships within different teams throughout the company
  • Minimum 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role in a supply chain area
  • Change management experience preferred
  • APICS certifications preferred
  • Self-starter, excellent communicator and highly adaptable
  • Comfortable with challenging the status quo
